The screen is black, but I dont think it is going any further as the hard drive light doesnt come on/flash. I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, I know that the battery has died in it. It was going bad for some time and now it’s dead. The Wifi won’t connect to my router although it see it and has a full signal.
I have replaced the keyboard in my Sony Vaio laptop but i am still getting the same problems as before. After some research I found this thread on Dell support website. I don’t fix motherboards on the component level.

Hi, When I reached The last step I got this program is blocked by a group policy…I could not perform The fix. I had the same problem here on my network as well. One of my computers started not connecting to a network hard drive, while other connecting successfully. Pinging the network hard drive was successful but i could not connect it via windows explorer. Downloaded ones supplied by Kapil Arya , run them, rebooted was still some issues, run diagnostics from win, and sorted now. I am reluctant to uninstall the network adapter.
